Jose “Tony” Rosario is a native Virgin Islander whose love for music inspired him to start Westline Productions in 1979 when he was a teenager attending Charlotte Amalie High School.
Westline Productions began a grassroots disc jockey group providing entertainment for parties and special events. The group’s reputation for advertising and marketing great parties grew quickly and steadily and the group soon became popular among teenagers and young adults. This led to numerous bookings throughout the Virgin Islands, the Caribbean and the US mainland.
Because entertainment activities in the Virgin Islands was extremely limited in the entertainment industry and, Virgin Islanders at the time rarely got an opportunity to see well-known and high-profile artists perform, Tony realized that he could create a niche and position himself and Westline Productions as the #1 business in the entertainment industry. Tony worked hard and aggressively and marketed Westline Productions to build a prestigious clientele of entertainers and due to that hard work Westline Productions grew to include politicians, private corporations, government agencies and non-profit organizations as clients.
Always a visionary and seeking ways to provide the people and the community of the Virgin Islands with a service that benefits everyone, Tony saw a need where businesses can utilize technology to help improve their brand and visibility. It is through that insight and Tony’s experience with advertising and marketing Westline Productions for over 30 years that RockVision VI, a digital signage company offering businesses an alternative to print advertising, was formed becoming the first licensed digital billboard company in the US Virgin Islands.
RockVision VI was scheduled to launch in 2017 however, it was delayed by Hurricanes Irma and Maria and was then launched in 2018.
RockVision VI currently has billboards strategically positioned on the island of St. Thomas to help maximize the visibility of any business and with plans to expand to include St. Croix and St. John. All billboards are HD quality LED billboards that are eco-friendly and visually appealing.
